Cool man lol you should be a private investigater! Quite a few of my tunes have game samples in aswel, like speech samples at the intro, or random sound effects, but I sweeten and mess them up with effects and stuff. Its well easy, especially on PC games cos they usually have a sounds folder and u can just drag them straight into ur program haha.

@ncshuriken the menu sounds (and the "extra life collected sound, as you described it) are definitely from the original soul calibur menu, probably the dreamcast version. I just dug through my whole collection of old fighting games (I have a lot...), and I can say for certain that @BrandNewSongz is correct. I even put on one headphone and went through the soul calibur menu (Yeah, I know, im a nerd.) and the pitch of the sound effects is 100% right.
