  • It's hard to describe the emotion i feel to SEE Firkusny again in this favorit, one i was lucky to hear 4times with great conductors. The occasion is historic, also with the interest of a meeting of Old&New generations&styles(Belohlavek).Altho ther are hints of age&haste, generally Firkusny is remarkable for his innate singing lines&inborn rythmic understanding which he kept to the last. The Cz Phil are just the one for this altho they're slightly backwardly balanced, need more punch!Lovely post.

  • I think I've died and gone to heaven. :))
