As we all know cable mgmt. is a vital necessity we building a custom rig. In this video I will guide you through the steps on how to mod the mobo tray for better cable mgmt. I also discuss what tools and materials I use. You will see in this guide that it is not that difficult as long as you take your time and have some patience.
This guide is just that, as it is in no way the only way to mod the mobo tray, it's just the way I choose to do it.

Cheers

  • Why does the board have sooooo many PCI-e's

  • @harrrison66 It's the EVGA 4way SLI board

  • thanks for the vid.. i have one question though.. instead of using the dremel to cut out the remaining piece why not drill a third time?

  • @ladangelo202 You would still need then to use the dremel or file because 3 holes in a row is going to leave little points. Also with 2 holes i am able to draw a straight line between the two, so if my holes are off slightly it would be hard to notice. If you drill 3 holes and you are off slightly...meaning the 3 holes don't line up then it would be very noticeable...sure a grommet or u-channel may hide the mistake, but I try to do work that looks perfect from the start. I am just anal that way

  • Hey man, great work. You're really helping me clean up my current build.

I noticed you said you should be working with gloves on. That's REALLY not safe. A glove can get caught in a drill press (or a lathe, or a saw) and it'll yank your whole arm around the thing. It may seem counter intuitive, but with powerful spinning tools, no gloves is the way to go.

  • @WestCoastMods

    Thank You !

  • @ryandonian I'm in Cali....sorry

  • @WestCoastMods well, that depends on your definition of local. is ohio local enough?

  • @ryandonian Thanks bud....sure are you local?

  • can i work for you? i love customizing things, and modding things. And you listen to the best music when you mod.
