There's a scene that didn't make it to the final cut where mystique turns into Azazel and fights him. They shot an Azazel vs Azazel fight with a martial arts choreography. It was a pity it got deleted.

@shadowkid1993. They have met in the comics & fought aswell. (it took nightcrawler to get help from his brother abys(another cool character) to beat azazel)

@purpleluver74 - Azazel's skin is red so the smoke from his teleportation abilities is red. Nightcrawler is blue so the smoke from his abilities is blue... Simple.

Azazel and Nightcrawler are both level 5 mutants, it's just that Azazel has more experience with frighting and is more creative with his attacks. Either way I would love to have either of their powers. I would never be late to anything again ^_^

@purpleluver74 it's a dimension that he made that is the same as earth but everything is fire and brimstone. so every object would be made of brimstone and there's fire everywhere and he flies at the speed of light through that dimension and once he reaches his destination he comes back. that's why you see smoke and a trace of brimstone in the air where he appears and disappears:)

is it safe to assume Azazel travels through the Underworld when he teleports? there's fire when he poofs from place to place, but not when Nightcrawler does.......... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... lol

In the movies, I think Azazel would win simply because he has more fighting experience and his teleportation abilities completely outmatches his sons.

However, in the comics, I'd say they're pretty evenly matched. Because even though Azazel is ridiculously powerful, he's also overconfident and relies too heavily on that power. Kurt, on the other hand, is exceedingly clever and creative in combat situations and has years of experience taking down opponents who are far more powerful than himself.

Nightcrawler is more acrobatic and agile. Azazel is a fighting machine. They're both magical and awesome but I got my money on pops!
