The text was medieval, but the music was written in the 20th century, in the thirties, I believe.

The early church sound of this music works for me only in small doses and 3 or
4 pieces at a time are sufficent as tedium sets in.

@65attila Really? When I listen to this music, I find that the O Fortuna is the only part approaching boring because it is supersaturated in our culture. It's everywhere. But I find the rest of the work to be very charming, devilish, powerful, fun and interesting. Even touching at times. But, that's just me.
