120lb giant siamese carp caught at Gillhams fishery in Thailand

This is some footage of a 120lb carp I caught at Gillhams fishery in South Thailand in March 2009. The bait was a piece of artificial maize and a single grain of normal maize - both soaked in banana nutrafruit . The rods were 6lb t/c free sprits, coupled with Big baitrunners and 35lb Eustace UV line.

Caught at a fishery eh? Well, that didn't much skill to find such a large fish.

@Thokko No- I just threw the line in and it hooked itself and threw itself on the bank. Despite having to travel 18,000 miles round trip to catch it and a cost of $10,000...30 years of fishing experience. And its a fish that hasn't been out again in 2 years. Easy really. If we would have had the right gear to weigh it- yes it would have been the WR. But unfortunately not- we didn't have a sling big enough.

@elmundo88 Do alot down in essex,from river, to pit, to resivours (can't spell) I hold my hands up mate, I can't fish river's! Just catch anythin! I river fished in milton keynes, caught a crayfish! I Can't fish River!! I fished in wolverton in a bit, caught nothing, later spoke to a few lads up in a fishing shop nearby and most of them agreed with me, just no longer any good to fish! I saw on the door though a few places, I Can't fit any more in this box, will message you a few more details!

@TheBondiBoi true that bro, whereabouts in uk, do you really fish all over? im mainly fishing the river wandle a local chalk stream leading to the thames for barbel but i want to move to the thames for some elusive river carp, any tips or places on the thames you know bout bro?

@thaiboxuk You sir, after sharing that detail, are the definition of a true angler, angler's now a days are selfish, greedy bastards trying to do one over each other, I've only fished in the UK and up and down the country to (but I'm only 14) Even fished at the famous darts player bobby georges! But Hardly anyone now shares bait tip's etc... So you sir, I take my hat off to you! We need to keep this Sport alive not by competitions and stubbornness! What a beaut of a fish though!
