@Rabat28A No need for that talk, bro. Tigrinya and Tigre language are from the same family, whether you like it or not. Have some respect for our Tigrinya Eri brothers and sisters. We are all Eritrean after all, that's the most important thing. Peace.

@Rabat28A lol
there is obviously a connection if they are in the same language family.. Listen to the drum beat of this song and to a tigrigna song.. Amaneena is the same as tigrigna with a different accent..

@IsaiasAfewerki you bloody liar, first there is no tribe called Tigre, Tigre is a language spoken by many tribes in four province. Second point is that you said tigrinya language split from tigre language that is what you wish, Our language Tigre have no connection with tigrinya, your language tigrinya comes from tigray, tigray is the source of tigrinya language and culture and people. you are not welcome to our language and culture. wad hebeshtait ,jaban, hasaai, munafeeq, najees.

Tigre is equal to Ge'ez.
So Tigre were actually the first Christians.
Than when the Arabs invaded, they had to convert to Islam.

Now you don't agree? You say he is right, but when I say it I am wrong. Rabbit, I can't even believe you said Tigre and Tigrigna have no connection what so ever.
The Bejas are one of the oldest known ethnic groups in Africa - 6,000 years. The Bejas get their name from the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses II who called them "Bejas", which means in their Ancient Egyptian language as "FIGHTERS".
Tigrinya is a new ethnic group, not much older than 1,000 years & they probably split from Tigre, since Tigrinya means "Tigre language". Tigre is ancient tribe, dating back to 3rd century BC - but even they know the Beja is where they come from!
