This is a segment from my Raquel solo run. The rules are as follows:

-Characters other than Raquel can only Guard.
-Characters other than Raquel must be under level 10 (this is done by equipping the Monopoly Gourd on Raquel).
-Characters other than Raquel must use their initial equipment. No Alter Parts may be used for Jude's ARM.
-No items that can be only gotten through New Game+ carry overs can be used.

This is done on New Game+ only to have access to the Monopoly Gourd to keep other characters' levels in check. Nothing carried over from the previous playthrough will be used.

This is the beginning of the fight against Divine Weapon, the final boss in the game. He has three forms, and this shows the first two.

Divine Weapon's first form comes with two Devices, who protect him from physical damage. You can get through it by using magic, gems, or by killing them first. Easiest way for Raquel is to just kill them. (I think poison might work but that's kind of slow.)

The second form is pretty annoying. He has a few attacks worth noting. The first one is Claymore, which deals damage and cancels the target's next turn, which is really bad for slow people like Raquel. Fortunately, this attack only hits about 50% of the time or so, but DW is fast and can use it often. His second nasty attack is Prismatic Laser, which deals damage and adds status effects to the hex, including poison and disease. His third attack is Dead Heat, which attempts to kill all characters in a hex, but the hit rate on that is so pathetic it's not even funny.

I had a game over on the second form due to Prismatic Laser triggering Red Zone, which gave Raquel a turn under a poisoned hex, which instantly killed her. Goat Doll would've revived her, but Disease blocks all healing (and poison would've killed her again anyways). Kind of funny death, actually. Also, he decided to Claymore an empty hex after everyone was dead. Yay for bugs?

Second try went through a lot better though.

Since this fight gives no experience, I removed the Monopoly Gourd. I probably could've won without Goat Doll, but it's nice insurance.
Setup:
Level 60
Great Sword - 1420 ATP, 2 ACN, -5 HIT
Sun Wall - 425 DFP, 380 MGR, +10 EVA
Goat Doll - One time revival to 1 HP.
Cat's Paw - +1 ACN

  • I think Raquel would've wanted to kill him herself anyway. He did destroy her hometown and killed her family and friends and all, I'm surprised she never went off on him or anything. It would've been cool if she went all "nine-tailed fox" on him, just an example. She'd need another source of power, maybe that radiation when the town was destroyed could've done something.
