We often sung this beautiful hymn in the coastal town in NE Scotland where I grew up, Lance, remembering our fishermen; also the lads who served in the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy. My Dad served in the latter, all through World War 2 and danger was ever present. God bless you for your own Navy Service and all those lads and lasses who still serve, on Land, Sea and Air.
