In the next 30 years the population of the Philippines is set to double to 170 million. Contraceptives are frowned on and abortion is illegal but as Sharmeen Obaid-Chinay reveals, every year more than half a million Filipina women are so desperate they undergo harrowing illegal abortions, despite the fact that at least 80,000 end up seriously ill in hospital.

Comming from Norway, the country on earth that gives the most to foreign aid (but almost all to africa), has the highest ppp, and having seen the tonnes of philipino immigrants we get, and now the tonnes of them there still not being room for in their own country despite how many of them come to Europe, I think my government should take some of the foreign aid money off of Africa and grant it to organizations such as these.

The other solution would be for men to stop having sex. The main cause of having babies. Follow the priests, be celebate who would not approve of pills, condoms, ligation, vasectomy, these priests have their urges, too., let them teach it to the poor men to prevent having babies and having abortions, the worse thing to do because it affects the wormens body and it kills a life. Oh my gosh, priests open your minds, the poor are the ones that are having kids, because the rich can buy condoms,etc.
