In recent years, Industrial Wireless LAN -- or IWLAN for short -- in accordance with the wireless standard IEEE 802.11a/b/g with up to 54 Mbit/s has taken over in production halls, cranes, high-bay warehouses and even in underground tunnels. The basis for this are the IWLAN access points and client modules SCALANCE W, a new generation of which are now succeeding their successful predecessors. As part of this, the new standard IEEE 802.11n with up to 450 Mbit/s is now being used. Further information see: www.siemens.com/iwlan
