I do a wedding at Joeys again - but what you don't see is the frantic scenes a few hours earlier when a musician bailed on me and I had to get a replacement - fast!

  • why would someone cancel on a wedding if they weren't feeling well, when all they had to do was play a guitar for an hour. i hope you got a big tip for finding someone at the last minute. or did you not explain anything to the bride, and make it look like everything went as planned? & lol the guitar guy was playing during the grand entrance too!

  • Hehe, yup you caught that! He was infusing some jazz stylings over the Trammps.

I didn't even mention it to the couple, for the simple reason that people hear the word "problem" in a sentence, but not the "I fixed it" part.

Sometimes doing this job is like being a swan - on the surface it's all graceful, but under the water the legs are going like crazy and nobody knows!

But I did get a very generous tip from them - and passed some of it straight over to Dick for his help.
