YFD does not provide any medical coverage, that is all handled by a local private company (Rural/Metro), they average about 65,000 runs a year, give or take a few thousand

you guys look like a typical urban dept. Really hip. How do you guys staff your squads (med units)? Do you cross train or do you part time them. Too bad you lost your audio. I think something by "Alice in Chains" would be cool.

I give anyone who works in Youngstown big props.. especially on the east side... i worked at a troubled youth home on the south side for a while and know first hand that there are some difficult neighborhoods to deal with around there... never the less fight fires at the same time!

3,000 runs a year out of 8 houses or a single station??? My company in PG County,MD does about 5,000 runs out of one house. Keep up the great work and AWESOME vids!!! :-)

Out of 8 houses. We don't run any EMS though :)! Only fire, and lots of it!

We are all career guys. IAFF Local 312... 150 in Supression out of 8 houses. Approx. 3,000 calls a year. Lots of house fires!

Well my friend... Youngstown, OH gets lots of fires! We are often referred to as "little Detroit". An old "steel town" with lots of ghetto!
