To what economic efficiency does this design serve? Does the increase in the service contract and cost of the equipment off set the 9V battery worth of energy this regenerates? Magnificent technology, but are these still selling for ~ $2M?

@JUSTBOLTONS That's a battery. The energy captured as the gantry stops recharges it.
