UN Convention on the rights of child -2

Social protection is a small part of the EU assistance, but of great importance against the background of human rights. The current condition of street children in Afghanistan requires special attention to this generation who are future makers of this country.

Article 28:
All children have the right to education, and the state's duty is to ensure that primary education is free and compuisory, to encourage differeny forms of secondary education accessible to every child and to make higher education available to all on the bassis of capacity. School dicipline shall be consistent with the child's rights and dignity. The state shall engage in international co-operation to implement this right.
