In this very famous long poem about a Bayram morning prayer at the Süleymaniye Mosque in İstanbul, Yahya Kemal Beyatlı describes his awe at the sight of all these people and ghosts from history coming together to attend the morning prayer at the Suleymaniye Mosque which was built by the great soldier-achitect Mimar Sinan for Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent on a hill over-looking Istanbul. This unity of religion bringing all these past and present souls together under one dome, reminds the poet of the unity and majestic glory and power of the Ottoman Empire.

Artarak gönlümün aydınlığı her saniyede,
Bir mehabetli sabah oldu Süleymaniyede..
Kendi gök kubbemiz altında bu bayram saati,
Dokuz asrında bütün halkı, bütün memleketi..
Yer yer aksettiriyor mavileşen manzaradan,
Kalkıyor tozlu zaman perdesi her ân aradan
Gecenin bitmeğe yüz tuttuğu andan beridir,
Duyulan gökte kanat, yerde ayak sesleridir
Bir geliş var!.. Ne mubarek, ne garib âlem bu!..
Hava baştan başa binlerce hayâletle dolu!
Her ufuktan bu geliş eski seferlerdendir,
O seferlerle açılmış nice yerlerdendir..
Bu sükûnette karıştıkça karanlıkla ışık,
Yürüyor durmadan insan ve hayâlet karışık
Kimi gökten, kimi yerden üşüşüp her kapıya,
Giriyor birbiri ardınca ilâhî yapıya;
Tanrının mâbedi her bir tarafından doluyor;
Bu saatlerde Süleymaniye târîh oluyor!

What a great idea to put pictures from Turkey, I think u should start doing this in all of ur videos. It really gives it a better feel because one can identify more with the culture that inspired this type of music and the setting that was conceived in it, especially for ppl who r not from there!!
