the grandmother is so wise, she says, there's something else too, something you must promiss, You have gift heidi, While your touching the people around you helping them, bringing joy. @Carolarny1 I guess you meant grandmother. without the death scene, it probably wouldn't be as emotional or good. people remember stories better if there's both life and death, just like in real life.
