The early church had several centers of religious authority: Antioch, Alexandria, Jerusalem, Constantinople, Carthage, Rome. Then the Muslims attacked destroying all but one: Rome. Then the sole survivor says its leader is infallible.
There is another. An odd quirk in history involving Henry the VIII gave them legitimacy: Canterbury - with no infallible leader. The Anglican Church is more legitimate for this reason than Rome, yet Canterbury is the head of the Anglican/Episcopal church.

I'm all for the ACNA and while I remain a conservative within the Episcopal Church I can easily stand by mosts of its ideals but what I don't understand is why revert back to the 1920's prayer book. Please someone explain the reason for that.
God Bless Archbishop Duncan!
