@absoluteauthority08 A super M had 44 hp at the drawbar.....the same as a 620. What does your M weigh? That would be the only way it would pull that plow better than the 620. not trying to start a war here. Also, a 720 had 59 hp. and would run away with a 3 16 plow .

@richjd630, an old JD dealership owner in business 1952 to 2008 told me a 620 is not capable of pulling triple-16's through hardpan clay at a depth of 8 inches as my SM does. He forfeited the sale of the 620 to me by being honest about it's capabilities. However, I do not doubt that a 620 can pull triple-16's in sandy soil. My mistake I did not specify my soil type. The 620 is not equal to a SM, the 720 is. The entire 20-series are fine tractors. I have three poppers, I know about the fuel

@absoluteauthority08 I have a 630 jd, and i gotta say, if a super M pulled 3x16s that 620 would too. and use less fuel.

@HuntinDoorguy yeah it should, it only has a 2-bottom plow. In 1956 I almost bought a 620 until I realized it was unable to pull triple-16's in my soil, a task my Super M's have done for over 50 years. But I have to be fair, a deere 720 will do that job. But.... try buying a 720, then or even now.... Back then, and even now, you could buy SM's for much less than a deere 620 or 720. Thus, farmall is forever the "poor man's john deere." But now I have a pair of 420's to supplement the SM's.

Nothing like the sound of a Popin Johnny to take you back to when......
That is a actually a 620. Look at the flywheel cover and listen to the sound of the engine.
