@sharathshine Of course I do what I said. I wouldn't tell you to do it if I didn't do it myself. These organisations use 80% of the money on development and only 20% on administrative costs. And they are audited by external accounting firms, so no money is stolen. Of course, not all charities are as honest as the ones I mentioned. Look I can't change your opinion. But I know for sure that its possible for ordinary citizens to bring about real change. Whether they want to is up to them.

@sadhaklal Yeah...U can keep saying such Philosophical points. As said before, " its better said than Done". Why dont u do what u said. U wont bcoz u know all ur sponsorship goes into wrong hands. We cant change. I had a very similar Point of View like urs. But my experiences changed my mind. I have the helped the poor in so may ways, that u cant even imagine of, but all in vain. I was'nt born with hatred, my country created it.

Thanks! Its good that not all people have lost faith in this nation. I actually donate through the World Vision India foundation every once in a while. All Indians should help and do things like these. I hope we have a violent revolution against the government like Greece and other nations soon to get rid of all corruption. I think that it will happen soon. Jai Hind!

@sharathshine Our country needs improvement in infrastructure and human capital. Ordinary citizens can't do much about infrastructure. But we can do something about human capital by sponsoring poor children's education. It is a wrong notion that children don't want an education and only want money. You and I have the potential to change the country. Try doing something. The 2 organisations I mentioned may be a good start. If you still don't think its possible, you are giving excuses.

@sharathshine If you don't see change taking place in this country, then you are blind. The people leading the change is the private sector and civil society. They don't wait for politicians to do something. They do it themselves. Go to Akshaya Patra Foundation's website and see the change they are leading. It takes only 525 bucks to sponsor a child's mid-day meal for a full year. Bec of mid-day meals, number of children out of school has dropped to 70,000 from 1 million in Karnataka alone.

@wiigamer136 No point arguing with people like sharathshine. You are absolutely right. What this country needs is improvement in infrastructure and human capital. Ordinary citizens can't do much about infrastructure. But we can improve human capital through sponsoring poor children's education. I am doing so through World Vision India and Akshaya Patra Foundation. I am sure you are doing something similar. Keep up the good work. Jai Hind.

@wiigamer136 Be practical buddy...no one's going to give a damn about ur help. If u go out help a poor child by offering him/her education, they ask u to give money rather than education. Trust me, its not worth it. What we need is another foriegn invasion. Only then people will understand the importance of freedom.
-
At least help the poor a little? Support a child that is willing to do education but does not have an opportunity.

@wiigamer136 Its better said than done. U try to do something for the nation, u ll get screwed. Politicians here want hatred among people so that they can gulp what they want. And they have suceeded. We are at the point of no return. I wud prefer wasting my time and money on boozing rather than helping my country.

No. Don't leave. Do something for this nation that you and I live in.
