John Tracey of Pan Am Railways knows the Recovery Act is working because he's seen it firsthand; forty new employees have already joined the $35 million Recovery Act project he's working on, laying track to extend Amtrak's Downeaster service 30 miles north from Portland to Brunswick, Maine. According to John, these forty new Recovery Act jobs are "good paying jobs, jobs with good benefits and a living wage, jobs that will help support small business."
