"The Glide," written by Oregon co-founder and guitarist/keyboardist/composer Ralph Towner, was performed by Hemispheres as part of the band's "Crossroads" CD Release Concert on August 28, 2009 at the 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, California. On this piece, the musicians are: Ian Dogole - cajon/splash cymbal, Bill Douglass - double bass, Paul McCandless - soprano saxophone, Sheldon Brown - tenor saxophone, and Frank Martin - piano.

  • Tell me... (I only noticed this cause I'm transcribing this and watching this vid alot as a result..) when the sop. solo starts... does the tenor player bend down to attach his mike? But he's already playing into one? Is it a clip on tuner of some kind or something? Just curious :)

  • @FFrontier15

I think you are right -- attaching a clip-on. Thanks for supporting the music.

    Cheers,

    Ian

  • This band is one of the top acts in the US, and it is absurdly underrated in my opinion. Their rare performances are consistently exciting displays of the highest musicianship - and great fun!
