I read that he leaves for 3 months at the end of this year and there is a spoiler out there for ages now about how jack and martha will break up forever. You can see the writers setting up Roman for Martha again this week. He never stopped loving her.

Roman is still so in love with Martha. After Jack leaves, I think he'll try hard to get back with her. I adore both Jack and Roman, I just want them both to be happy but I guess only one can get the girl.
