This shows how easy it is to import a local graphic into the walfas create.swf. You don't have to put the image into the same folder as the create.swf, but it makes it easier. Otherwise you have to use the local path in the url.

Note that imported images can't be saved into scenes at this time.

  • The problem I'm having is when I import an image there's a white box around it.

  • @NovemberRan This would be because the original image had a white box around it. Remember that only png files can retain their transparencies upon import.

  • Ok, um today I tried importing an image again, since it's never worked, but at first it wasn't there. But when I started messing with one of the preset characters somehow, I got the picture I imported to come out form the side of the screen. I don't know how though, do you know why the images won't appear on the screen like they're supposed to?

  • @9CirnotheGenius9 Hm, I have no clue why it would load off screen, but you can cycle through all objects on the stage with the [ and ] keys and then press G to grab it.

  • How do you download walfas locally though?

  • @suckapunch565 The image needs to be in the same folder as the create swf and you have to be using the downloaded version.

  • @ThiefKnightX Even .PNG files have the box for me.

  • The image won't load for me. I'm running the latest downloaded version and I have the image in the same folder. I did everything according to the video and the image is the right file type but for some reason it just will not load.

  • I have a question. I used Paint to change the color of my character's skin. Now, I had used Print Screen before to take an image of my character, and I changed the image from .bmp to .jpg and .png . Neither files worked when I tried to import it. If you have any suggestions, well if anyone does, then please that would be a lifesaver!

  • Thanks!
