By cooking 600 grams of rice with 1 tablespoon of alcohol, LannyPlans demonstrates the efficiency of his new "Fin Shell", a finned pot shell, with his new design the "Pop-Up Foster's Pot (PUF Pot) a very efficient , light weight, multifunctional, heat utilizing module, that can be used with most any type of burner.

  • Its kind of funny! You have the most creative mind and think of everything except that the can will be to hot to hold!!! YOUR ARE GREAT!

  • @Bently100

Thanks, Bently100, sorry about the slow response!

It has a bail handle to hold the pot.

  • Before the shot with the rice you have the holes on the outer sleeve on the bottom then after you light the flame it is at the top? which is correct?

  • The holes should be at the bottom. I had to re shoot that scene and put the holes up!

  • I'm guessing he is talking about the misuse of your words. The first "to" should have been "too" and the "Your" should have been "You are".

Apparently he has nothing better to do than berate you.

I'm just letting you know. Not poking fun.

  • how did you cut the lid so that it still fits nicely on the pot?

  • Why did you add alcohol?

  • yummy.

  • the shell r made of what?... tin or aluminum sheet?..

  • Any chance your going to sell these Foster cookers Lanny ?

  • mmmmmmmm... rice...............

  • Excellent design! I like the way the whole system goes together. Have you ever looked at having the fins point outward rather than inward (like MrBillTroop73 with the copper foil). It would be nice to see the time to boil and alcohol usage to boil just 2 cups of water with and without the windscreen/heat exchanger hardware as a reference. Anyway, outstanding job! 5 stars.

  • Any plans to make one for a snow peak 600 pot?

Would like to see if that would work as well.
