This is how I set up my equipment.

Capture Card: AverMedia DVD EZMaker Usb Gold
TV: Electrohome 4:3 TV with A/V Out

Step 1: Plug in game console into TV

Step 2: Plug RCA Composite Cable into A/V out of TV

Step 3: Plug RCA Composite Cable into capture card

Step 4: Plug Capture Card into PC

  • @theKostya I suggest running Audacity on your computer while you're recording the footage and commentating like that. Give yourself a signal of some sort so you know where to time everything when you edit.

  • Ok, that was the part that was trivial to figure out (buy a capture card, read the manual), though I had not thought to record off of the TV Video Out.

    The part I want to know is how you would recommend recording audio (for live commentary) and doing good syncing with video.
