When the doors open for the first time at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on December 15, 2010, guests and visitors will not only discover many unique touches and interesting finds throughout the resort, but also six stylish Art-o-mat original art vending machines. The six Art-o-mat machines are being installed throughout the second floor of the resort, one of which was previously hosted at the Andy Warhol Museum where it was first installed. And it's the one in this video where Chris Burns, director of digital content and entertainment curation at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, talks about the Art-o-mat program.

I love those machines! I've got a growing collection of them.

seems like a complete waste of money
especially considering that artist has supposedly given 550 of those olive key chains to the machines.

@zippyman818 I love this idea! It's like Cracker Jack prizes for adults at $5 a pop.

So refurbished cigarette machines (like who remembers feeding quarters into those?) are spitting out original trinkets. I bet it takes forever to find someone to sell you the $5 token anywhere near the six machines.
Great tourist idea, especially for the foreigners that have limited luggage space.
How soon until someone takes a header from one of the hundreds of room terraces?

This is fantastic! A nation is only as strong as its defense and its culture. This express access and affordable priceline to personal art is wonderful. This is a new slant on our art culture.
