My letter to BBC
"I have seen an article that Stephen Green of the Christian Voice is petitioning the BBC to waive the £90k court costs awarded after losing his frivolous prosecution of the BBC for Jerry Springer the Opera.
I strongly urge that this should NOT happen. I, as a licence fee payer, should not be forced to subsidise this man and his hateful, homophobic views and practices. It was his choice to pursue legal action against the BBC, not mine and very likely not that of most of the other licence fee payers. For the BBC to waive the settlement and bear these costs would be a wilful and disgraceful misuse of licence fee payers' money."

Ha ha ha. Well it may be out of date now but that really made me laugh.

Mr Green was on the BBc's own Big Questions the other day propogating his (sadly not unique) blend of Christian bigotry & political rallying. What an absolute cock.

It was hilarious to see how uncomfortable he was when he said gay people can't become "one flesh" & a gay man sitting next to him looked him in the eye & said "oh yes we can"!

Great video. Unfortunately Stephen Green is incapable of learning. I work for a small family run Welsh press called Cinnamon Press which recently published a book by patrick jones called darkness is where the stars are. The launch was unfortunately stopped by threats from Christian Voice and its media obsessed leader. I really hope that he does pay up and go bankrupt soon and Id be disgusted if the BBC backed down on this.

I did get a response back from them thanking my for my concern and assuring me that there were no plans to let him off.

I visited their web site on the advice of AdamaTheAtheist (subscribe if you haven't already) and I was both flabbergasted and appalled at some of the stuff they have on there. To me, their mission statement is a forum to exercise homophobia, misogyny and racism using religion as some flimsy excuse. Amazingly, he isn't giving up even after being stung a few times. It's exactly this kind of fanaticism that leads to people flying jets into skyscrapers.
