Dracula (1931) Rescore 2/8

This is a rescore of Tod Browning's Dracula composed by Philip Glass and performed by the Kronos Quartet (best known for working with Clint Mansell on the score for Requiem for a Dream). I basically synced up the scenes in the way I saw best, some scenes working better than others.

I'm also obligated to say that I own no piece of work in any of these videos. These are merely fan made for the purpose of entertainment and I profit in no way what so ever from the work of these artists.

The pacing is much improved by the Glass score. The original, score-less version feels too slow and quiet. This version moves us along musically as well as visually, and the gorgeous violin and cello of the opening sequence at the Castle is just mesmerising.

The music sounds like it is for a silent version, since it is constant throughout the film with no pauses.
