In this video I demo on my iPad 2 what I believe to be the best virtual joystick you can program. I don't think any virtual joystick games implement all the features I demo in the video. Enjoy and feel free to ask questions!

  • fuuuuuu wtah an ugly flat finger... :D:D:D

  • Overall, the game was very fun after the initial learning curve. You gotta submit your app to App Review sites man!! It's well made, and people are only gonna buy it if they know about it!! (I'm about to put out a game as well, so I feel you as a developer) Don't stop with the promotions man. Apps have a long shelf life. Hope your game does well!

  • - I felt the pieces were also way too sensitive on an ipod/iphone because of the small screen. You might consider reducing the X-sensitivty. I know you'd run into the problem of a desync in accuracy for placement, but you can probably write an exception to resync cube position with touch position for if displacement is greater than N length.

  • - The super powers were really cool. I wanted to use them a lot more, and it felt like it was once-in-a-blue-moon before I could use them. Increasing the frequency/fill rate would make it more fun.

    - Also your game has no tutorial, so maybe make a blinking notification to let the player know that they can touch the fish to activate superpower when ready. I only knew b/c I saw the game before from your videos.

  • IceCubes Feedback: - The game had a pretty big initial learning curve, especially getting the feel for the 4-straight pattern. Normally people are too used to games where any 3-4 adjacent pieces will disappear, so it took adjusting and brain re-routing to adapt to this game.

    - I'd suggest slowing the speed all across the board, at least for Easy and Medium.

  • Pretty cool. Do you have plans to make a crazy 2D/3D game that utilizes a joystick?

Also I just bought and downloaded your IceCubes game. It's very cool, and very well-made. I have some feedback for you about the gameplay. It'll be in the comment post above.
