@Rhinoch8 Sorry to take so long to reply... We started totally broke and borrowed a fair bit of the money to get land, from the fellow who sold it to us (he liked our permacuture plans for the land he had not got around to developing) .We both worked jobs for some years, planted trees on the land and grew vegetables for sale to become registered Primary Producers so a good proportion of the tax we paid could be retrieved to develop a profitable place.
