  • @ekkohaus rumble fish

  • Rourke can't act boys....Dilon 1000 times better but someone like Benicio del Torro would be realllly good...

  • This is much better than Barfly.

Barfly was a fantastic movie though.

Rourke over-exaggertaed everything, Dillion underplays everything. Somewhere in the middle is where it is right. But I'll still take this over Barfly. It's funny as hell and gives a lot more dimension to Chinaski than Rourke's performance.

  • Dillon takes a swig with his left hand, and the cut shows the bottle being put down with his right. Visual metaphor for how bad this film was. Go read a book instead.

  • Barfly is THE Bukowski-Movie. Rourke was the right guy to play Buk. I've seen this amazing film a 100 times and don't stop. It's a cult classic... Bukowski said that he saw himself in Rourke playing Hank...

  • I was skeptical, but Matt did a good job at this.

  • Matt Dillon did a great job. I love this movie. Less conventional than Barfly, but that's why I like it better. Rourke was a movie hero, like Bogart. Matt Dillon was more like the real Hank.

  • what a crap performance...he couldnt even read the script right...and the voice? mickey rourke beats dillon anytime.

  • Matt Dillon really looks like Buk in this film: the hair, the skin, the potbelly, the walk. His acting was pretty darn good, too. The movie itself was just lacking somehow.
