THE FORCE M.D.S RE-LIVED is an entertaining and illuminating film, that presents an enlightening account of the early years of rap music and tells how a young MC crew from Staten Island experimented with classic Rhythm and Blues to create their own distinctive blend of sound that set the stage for todays Hip Hop and R&B sound (Hip Hop Soul). Originally known as the Force MCs, they incorporated different elements of entertainment in their performances such as dance, Rap, and impersonations of famous singers to complement their sound.

This group that became known to us as the Force M.D.s recorded Rap influenced songs on the fledgling Rap label, Tommy Boy Records, with songs like, Let Me Love You, Forgive Me Girl and Itchin for a Scratch that inspired Rolling Stone Magazine to label them as the innovators of Doo Wop Hip Hop before moving along to record more standard R&B sounding songs with the huge hits like, Love Is A House and the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis penned, Tender Love.

THE FORCE M.D.S RE-LIVED presents interviews and first hand accounts from legends of Hip-Hop with guest appearances of Boyz II Men, Tom Silverman, Afrika Bambaataa, Naughty By Nature, Kurtis Blow, Melle Mel, Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, Full Force, Grand Wizard Theodore, KRS One, the late Mr. Magic and others that attest to the significant role of this pioneering group in the history of American music.

  • @hhsgrad1988 when i chatted with Stevie D from the Force Mds on facebook, he told me either fall or the end of this year. They kept adding more footage to the documentary. i heard Stevie said in an interview there is footage added on the documentary recording the Valentines Day song.

  • @tman05 Yes new footage have been added for the group's resurrection portion of the film.

  • @ hhsgrad1988, that was the original member of the group Trisco Pearson (at this time he was going through cancer) but he is now recovering and will soon rejoin the group as soon he gets it together.

  • @tman05 Will this doc be out at the end of the year, because at the end I saw 2006?If so where can I find it?

  • @hhsgrad1988 2010 Depends on the distributor Calendar.

  • @tman05 You have to get in touch with the FMD's management for updates on the group.

  • @tman05 That's Trisco? Damn cancer is a muthaf@*$er! So sad to see. He is so talented, just like all the other members were/are.

  • @anthropological That was TCD who had the missing tooth. But it's not about how they looked, each one of them COULD SING and each of their talents contributed to them being so AWESOME. Unfortunately TCD died from Lou Gehrig's disease, Mercury from a fatal heart attack, and DJ Dr. Rock from unexplained reasons. Yet their legacy will last FOR ALL TIME!
