yeah you just put thick lube on the bearing, well you don't have to, but what you should do is tighten the gap as hard as it will go

no when a bearing wears out it just... well, you shouldn't use it. :/

dont tighten it as hard as you can you can fucking strip the axle dumb ass just put the yoyo in ur palm and twist oppiste until its just at a fashanable tightness that you can unscrew

why would you do that? If anything you'd want to make in less responsive. If its to do kiddies tricks then buy a cheaper yoyo like a lyn furry .
