I started this before anything horrible had happened to him (being my grandfather). Last Friday, he had a major heart attack and the doctors knew that there wasn't anything the could do. Saturday, we had the option to insert a feeding tube, but that would only make him suffer more. On Sunday around 4:00 pm, he was awake and singing gospel songs, as happy as you could be. By 8:00 pm, he'd passed away. It's been a week. Tomorrow a week ago was the funeral. I can't even begin to explain how much losing him hurts me.
I put on a smile and pretend that I'm okay, when deep down, I'm not. I'm still lost over losing him and no one can really see this. I do miss him terribly. He was my Great Grandfather; but I know he's Home. He's Home with Jesus. He's going to be taken care of there. I'll miss him, but I know that he's okay.
