Frankenstein was, without a doubt, my absolute favorite monster when I was a kid. But I only ever managed to see the first two (many, many times) but never any of the sequels. Now, thanks to the Legacy Collections, I've FINALLY been able to see the elusive sequels! Are they worth seeing? Watch and find out...

  • @Ca11meron Nice! You're one of the few people that actually noticed that! :)

  • Why can't Dr Frankenstein name his monster after himself huh!?

he has the power and the right to do such a thing.

    HE HAS THE POWER!!!

  • I know the monster's name isnt Frankenstein, but I still think it's acceptable to call him that. If Dr. Frankenstein was his "father", then it's logical he would have the same name as him. It's kind of like "Jaws" as well. Jaws isn't the name of the shark, but people still refer to him as Jaws. Even in Universal Studios, the people working the ride call him Jaws. It's like after so many people call someone by a certain nickname, that just ends up becoming their name.

  • @Zaranyzerak well, i am british, that might be why, it seems the boys from the dwarf have slipped under the radar elsewhere. Incidentally, none of these legacy collections have been released as region 2's in full, the closest I've found is a 'Dracula Triple' which had all of the ones off of that apart from Son of Dracula. We like our monster movies too goddamnit!

  • I totally agree about Son of Frankenstein -- great sequel, and Lugosi is fantastic in it. Did you also notice some of the fantastic, almost expressionistic sets, like the Frankenstein castle? The sets and lighting were very expressionist and very well done, I thought. Excellent review of this fine collection!

  • I may have said this on one of your other vids but on the back it says includes 1931, 1938 and 1951 reissue trailers for Frankenstein and I cant find them anywhere!

  • if you watch closey when you talk, it looks like you have some little horn on your head. just about over your eyes.. DEVIL!

  • You are on my side Zaranyzerak!

  • People are most likely goona kill me for this but I don't care I telling my pal how I feel damnit hehe! The thibg is for me Frankenstein isn't even Boris Karloff's best promance. If it hadn't been for his utterly fantastic performance as The Grinch in the classic cartoon version & making hin a character that to this day is one that I love & am quite honestly obsessed with still, I would have never even known to check him out as Frankenstein. Just shows how truely an amazing actor he was.

  • damn beat me too it :) had to think for like 20 seconds.. then remembered the word hackles.. and that was it :)

  • Nice Kryten quote on the meaning of Frankenstein Sean
