Metal Overlord is actually really easy if you can kill it fast enough. Otherwise you will run out of rings and no more will appear.
Metal Madness is actually Harder than Metal Overlord, but even he is not overly hard. There are certainly harder bosses in Sonic Heroes.

zeons rider blade must defet krxs in galactic hearts, remove kuckles and add zeon with sonic and tails to stop metal madness, erazer jinn gets revange on zeon tails and mostey the bule rat sonic in galactic hearts 5, the dark queen looks more like ansem and black doom from galactic hearts 7.
