Not For The Faint Hearted-''Black Dog''

Folklore has it that if you see a phantom hound with a black coat and blazing eyes at night,bad luck or even death is close at hand.This huge dog has demonic red eyes,and it appears only at night,terrifying lone travelers.It is said that you will feel an unnatural chill before you see it appear.Tales of Black dogs are especially rife in Britain,though some experts think Viking raiders brought these stories with them from Scandinavia.The dogs are often linked with churches.A black dog that visited the church of Blythburgh in Suffolk in 1577 killed three people.Black dog stories influenced Arthur Conan Doyle when he wrote his Sherlock Holmes story,The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Where in the World: Britain and Ireland,but there have been sightings in Scandinavia,Germany,France and Canada.

@imsostupidyay they were in kentucky but yah about 2 weeks later he was hit by a semi! and im really into supersticions lol they were just sittin on the porch mindin their own shizness and a big snarling black dog went up to them ike really close and looked at all the people and then it looked back at elmo (ik funny name) and just stared at him and then his friend shot his gun and it didnt even run away, it looked at him and it just walked away... so i was kinda scared to hear tht! lol

@summerluvzgermx OH MY GOD! please tell me. were they in ...kansas? beacause my freind was coming home from kansas city and she claimed to see a dog just like that.your cousin that died...he must have seen that dog once before that cus theres a legend- see the dog once brings joy see it twice misfortune see it 3 times...means a death omen...

omg, my two cousins and their friends were out on their back porch and they said they saw a black dog thats fur doesnt reflect moonlight, and it had glowing red eyes. and then two days later one of my cousins was hit by a truck and was killed. i am not joking, it actually happened, they lived in hazard KY
