In Halo 3 I forged descent maps. They weren't great, (certainly not beast) but I forged one or two race maps that were smooth and functioned perfectly. The one I'm most proud of was some kind of drift map that ended with a backflip.

As soon as I got halo reach I made my first map (I dont have halo 3 nor have played it) and the map was good enough to impress two people who have played the game for a long time.
