Live, July 31, 2003, not long after Bernie's recovery from a massive heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery earlier that year.
This was a private party on a little yacht that sailed from Jersey City, NJ to Liberty Island. The Statue of Liberty can be seen in one of these 4 song clips, as can the cloud of yellow smog over Manhattan...
Lineup was (obviously) Bernie Brausewetter, (G) Joe Nevolo, (D) and Bill Cherensky. (B)
Small disclaimer: sorry if I (the bass player) seem to be hogging the spotlight...my then-girlfriend/now wife taped this gig...I guess I was the apple of her eye that night, she never imagined it would be viewed by others...certainly wasn't at my request...I'd much rather see more of Bernie myself!
Unfortunately, this is all there is to document this performance, 4 songs, one or 2 incomplete.
Bern plays great here (did he ever NOT?) and it's an honor to post this video on YT.
Reminds me all over agina what a terrible loss his death was for all of us...
Enjoy!
Thanks for posting this. Bernie was obviously a very talented guitarist - I caught some of the other stuff that's posted on YT. I would loved to have seen him play at a gig. But since this is the next best thing - Thanks!
