Triad High School

This happened in 95-96. I was a student in attendance at Triad that day and a school administrator told me, without ambiguity, that this was a real missile that was several feet long. If anyone who was there remembers anything about this event, or better yet happened to see the object with their own eyes, and would like to confirm or refute the notion that school was canceled before noon because a twelve inch cardboard tube with a burnt model rocket engine sticking out of its tail fooled the school administrators, the local emergency workers, and officials from the adjacent Air Force please post a comment.

It was no big deal. Nobody got hurt. Don't be timid.

haha i was there I'm class of 98. We all got stuck in the library...remember that? we were there for a long time until, i think Mrs. Sargent let us out, and we all began yelling. Remember the big Knight suit of armor in there? haha...
