Very informative, Thankyou .. I'm buying a D90 & Was considering Capture NX2 as it seems like a simple & very effective alternative to Photoshop,,,
Yes i know that photoshop has some clever tricks... But i wish simply to take a photo & improve it where needed with a program like this...

This is really fantastic. I have been using PSE to edit my D90 RAW images but have just decided to get NX2 after seeing a brief demo of its power. Your videos are excellent. You should do a DVD or write a book. Your style is very informative and your voice is very soothing.
I often use Photoshop CS4 for painting in a color. This is often a color gap, stain that detracts from a large area of color; how do you paint in a matching color in NX2?

@EdVidz nx2 is a lot like lightroom - it was not meant to do image manipulation like photoshop, ie it can't do painting or major graphic editing. however, it has a rather good healing tool that automatically clones and blends neighbouring areas to blot out the distracting blemish or stain. it does this non-destructively, meaning, your edits are stored in the .nef files so you can change it later if you want to.
