hey dude good cover. was maybe gonna buy this mic kit. you still happy with it?

Sounds awsome love your setup.. And you right about the Bass drum being just right. Running a small sub along with my studio monitors and the kick has a perfect thump without being too loud in the higher frequencies.

Nice.

I've got a helpful hint for you Stephan.... that was fucking AWESOME!!
-
@Stephanlovesmusic the kick overpowers every other piece of the kit. I'd say that's for all intents and purposes imbalanced.

great sounding mics!

just a helpful hint the bass drum is too loud. more neutral/accurate headphones would probably help in hearing that.

@machew100 As much as as I appreciate your 'helpful hint'. The level of the bass drum or any other part of the drum kit when it comes to mixing is 100% preference. I like my kick drums loud and punchy (in rock/metal) as they are an integral part of the kit/song. I have studio monitors and I know exactly how loud the kick is! I like it where it is :)

Did you do any eq'ing on the drums at all? The bass drum sounds perfect for this style, as do the toms and snare. Really good job mate and good playing too.

@vikingraider1 I did a bit of EQ'ing and compression using Logic yeah, thanks for the feedback :)
