I'm looking at a Hammond on ebay. It's missing the impression strip and is missing the top of the case, but it still works. But I am worried about the turret. It's up like you showed at 6:23. Could it just be miss alined with the pin?

@DAKOTA56777 I love the Corona 3. It is an amazing little machine and I love working on them. The main advantage of the 3 is that it uses a ribbon instead of the roller.

Have you considered the possibility this typewriter's mechanical problems may be caused by too much oil? It can attract a lot of dust dirt and gum things. I know we have that problem with our car's trunk lid handle.
