This is a video of me explaining my final project for my Game Audio class at Expression College for Digital arts. It's a very basic audio engine created in Max/MSP for an open source version of Space Invaders. Please view in HD and full screen, it will be easier to read! PART 1 of 2

  • i wish i could use Max Msp but i have no idea how it works... do you know any good free tutorials?

  • @julliocesar I feel that maxmsp is just one of those things you have to DO to learn. Just dropping in objects and checking out the help file is pretty much how I learned. Theres a few forums here and there that have good help but I cant think of any in particular. And of course, youtube is awesome for see patches in action (and just download a bunch, they're all over the web!)

  • @deadxatthexscene i'm taking a class about it in my school but i feel like i should be learning faster... i went to Campus Party in Mexico City (it's kind of a geek parede lol) and i just recorded an awesome interview with this guy who has this incredible leg-guitar Although he uses Pure Data to make it work... take a look at it...

just google "Leg-itar de Daniel Lara"...

  • @julliocesar thats pretty sick (I just checked out the video). I wanted to do something like that but I dont have enough time to create stuff like that haha. I only spent at the most like 4 weeks on learning Max/MSP in school. so if you dig into it you can definitely get the hang of it.

  • very nice work man.

  • @darkembassymusic Thanks a bunch!
