  • No F1 GP engine has ever had Desmo valve actuation except for the Mercedes W196 from the '50's.

The only manufacturer to use Desmo in racing and production engines is Ducati.

F1 has used Pneumatic valve actuation in some but not all engines from the late '70's. From memory I think Renault was the first.

  • @15f8 verifica di resistenza sulla biella della 998rs (io anno 2008 poli)

  • Good ole Desmo!!

  • @240fun328 yep :)

cos there are no springs that cause the floating

  • If i understand this correctly this is to prevent the valves from "floating"?

  • F1 has been running the Desmo design for years... now its all about pneumatic valves in MotoGP and F1

  • for cocopandan, no it have'nt any of this things... you can only take a time limited experience in their farm... for a study project or something like that... sorry for the mistakes...

  • A great design and a breakthrough in valve train technology. Direct drive

cam delivery avoiding any spring lash

or bounce at high RPM speeds. Thanks

elgatoregna for bringing this animation concept to us.

  • sorry, i can't speak italian, i only understand a little... does the ducati have technical college or school...? do you have the info or contact....?

    thanks
