Driving south on Los Angeles freeway 110 near 105 interchange. The area is roughly eastern Gardena, California.
There are four (4) lanes plus a carpool lane on the far right. Most local drivers drive fast (when traffic permits): 70-75mph. I'm going 60-65mph.
A lightweight camcorder was placed on the dash of a Toyota Echo (not a luxury auto) so it picks up a lot of vibration.
Technical stuff:
The jerkiness of the video present a good opportunity to gauge the effectiveness of different types of deinterlacing and other processing tweaks. I deinterlaced with Yadif. Although this clip was captured on a plain ol' NTSC miniDV camcorder, effective post-production tweaking (see below) made for a nice, smooth, artifact-free image.

cool vid
wat are the speed limits in los angeles anyway?
SouthOne525 2 years ago
Legally, 65mph for lightweight cars. But almost everyone goes way faster if/when the traffic cooperates -- 75mph is typical. The danger here is that a bottleneck can develop very quickly. So one must remain on-guard to decel from high speeds!
