Elvis Presley Tomorrow Night
Written by Sam Coslow and Will Grosz. Elvis recorded it at Sun Records on September 10, 1954 with only Scotty Moore on guitar as accompaniment. On March 18, 1965, a new backing track was recorded by RCA with Anita Kerr Singers, Chet Atkins on guitar, Grady Martin on guitar, Henry Strzelecki on bass, Buddy Harmon on drums, and Charlie McCoy on harmonica. The overdubbed version was released on Elvis for Everyone, nine years after Elvis recorded it. The original was not released until 1985 on the Reconsider Baby album. This version is available on The Sun Sessions and The King of Rock n Roll-The Complete 50s Masters.

Tomorrow night
Will you remember what you said tonight?
Tomorrow night
Will all thrills be gone?

Tomorrow night
Will it be just another memory,
Or just another lovely song
That's in my full heart to linger on?

Your lips are so tender,
Your heart is beating fast
And you're willing to surrender.
Tell me, darling, will it last?

Tomorrow night
Will you be with me when the moon's bright?
Tomorrow night
Will you say those lovely things you said tonight?

Your lips are so tender,
Your heart is beating fast
And you're willing to surrender.
Tell me, darling, will it last?

Tomorrow night
Will you remember what you said tonight?
Tomorrow night
Will you say those lovely things
you said tonight?

  • hi to all you fellow elvis fans...........

  • What a beautiful song I need to make love to me lady to this one I say^_~

  • This is really good but I like LaVern baker's best. Such a good arrangement. It is a lovely song, and supposedly the basis for the Shirelles Will You Love Me Tomorrow.

  • It's so much better than any of the RCA VIctor stuff. The Colonel ruined him.

  • What a voice!!

  • I havent heard this song much Lovely words and awesome singing

  • Beautiful romantic song, performed so tenderly and sincerely by Elvis... Maybe he wasn't yet spoilt by attention of women at the time and still free from bad habits?... ♫♪♫♪♫

Many thanks Kostas for sharing and thanks Jackie for posting this wonderful video!

  • what is that effect with his voice, it sounds like reverb but not reverb.

  • My GF in Okinawa loved the early Elvis songs like this one and "I WAS THE ONE."

Man, does this bring back memories. Thank you, thank you very much for posting.
