congrats on quitting smoking ^.^ this is going to help your voice alot!
Keep a notepad with you at work and a recorder make sure to document everything your most likely going to have to deal with a lot of crap! Ever hear "shit rolls down hill?" considering your mother. Your voice IS sounding better already not major improvement but definitely improvement. When you are first starting out dont just talk in your Voice.... step into it... 1 2 3 till you find yoru voice like before!
