there's a time and place for all genre's and the artist within them. true a lot of music is so formulaic due to the drive for making profits that much of music is unbearable, but that is true for all of music. I think the problem a lot of us face when listening to some music is we can't relate to it so we dismiss it. All the while that artist may impact someone vitally because they relate whole heartedly we should try and explore other points of reference before dismissing ones art.

I love music like this that actually speaks to people.

yes, ur exactly right. Most of that shit is nothing but promotion, shoving it down everyone's throats like they do.

ugh, soulja boy... how anyone can consider music like that talent is beyond me. There are lots of good rap songs if you search threw all the grabage, sure. Sorry but Timbaland, Snoop Dog and Pussycat Dolls songs aren't MUSIC.

I think it's more about the relationship between Sara and Grissom and this song describes it beautifully. I think Ani is good enough to survive this^^. It won't give this indeed genius work any negative connotation.

seems sort of ironic to me to be using an artist like Ani juxtaposed with corporate media images, I don't think she would dig being used as a commercial for that product. This tune is one of her many genius works.

I can picture her listening to this song in the car on her way to a crime scene.

Yeah, totally, and being all, "I'm NOT a pretty girl, but dammit! I do good work! TAKE ME SERIOUSLY GRISSOM!" or... you know... something like that ;)
